Abe Watson


Abe Watson is a freelance creative based in Central Victoria.

Abe has been involved in theatre from the time he was eight years of age; role highlights include Link in Hairspray, Judas/John the Baptist in Godspell, Fagin in Oliver, and more recently as Tim Allgood in Noises Off. He has also recently finished work on the World Premiere of NED - A New Australian Musical (dir. Gary Young). Other credits include Les Misérables, Beauty and the Beast and Annie.

In addition to performing, Abe serves as Vice President of Bendigo Theatre Company and is an experienced Production Manager, Arts & Theatrical Consultant and Designer - specialising in Lighting. Abe has recently finished a lighting secondment to Melbourne Theatre Company (MTC) for their production of Melbourne Talam.

Lighting Design credits include Hairspray, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. 

Abe currently works as Operations Administrator, Theatre Technician and Front of House Manager for Capital Venues & Events in Bendigo, and is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts at University of Melbourne.

Abe has undertaken short courses with NIDA and the National Theatre Drama School and has served as the resident voice teacher at Catholic College Bendigo.
